Client spotlight: Crossroads Community

Earlier this month I launched a brand new website for the NYC-based nonprofit organization Crossroads Community Services. Crossroads provides a soup kitchen, pantry, and shelter to New Yorkers of all walks of life, helping to combat hunger and homelessness.

Before we started working together, the website had not been updated in a number of years. Although the site had such important information reflecting the organization’s mission, the team felt that the website was “outdated, not polished, text heavy and did not have a good donation experience.” They were looking for something new and fresh that reflected their inclusive and welcoming community. I’m so glad I was able to give them what they needed and wanted!

In our consultation call the Crossroads team and I discussed what they liked and didn’t like about their current site, their goals for the new site, their design preferences, and any functionality they needed, such as newsletter signup and a donation form. Once they gathered and wrote their content, I got to work building and designing their fresh start.

I had the chance to speak to Angela Duffy, the Crossroads Communications Consultant, about how the team feels about their new website.

BEFORE

AFTER

Tell me how you feel about your website now that the new site is launched: It is amazing! So clean, clear, professional, well organized, and cohesive.

How is your new website going to change how you approach your business or organization in the future?: I think it allows Crossroads to more clearly communicate the difference the org is making in the community and hopefully will raise more money in the process.

What would you say to someone who is sitting on the fence right now, debating whether they should work with me or not? : DO IT! Immediately! Meghan makes the process so smooth and easy and incredibly quick. She is smart, so clear, and exceptionally talented. She really listens to the organization's goals - she even reminded us of a key priority at a critical point in the process. She executes in a detail oriented way without ever losing sight of the bigger picture. This is the third website redesign I have supported and it is without a doubt the best, most efficient, and fastest one by far.

Thank you, Angela and Crossroads! Enjoy your new website!
